To receive assistance, students must be enrolled at San Francisco State University and be part of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Federally low-income students who are first-generation college students evidencing academic need are eligible to participate in SSS . Two-thirds of the participants in the SSS program must be both first-generation college students and meet federal low-income levels.
Thus, our SSS program at SF State has specific guidelines that must be met in order for you to be eligible to participate in our program:
¤ Complete the SSS application and have student ID and social security number on file.
¤ Submit a copy of the most recent federal tax forms (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ) or a
signed letter indicating that your family (or you if you are legally independent) do not
file taxes.
¤ Be an incoming EOP first-time freshman at SF State.
